C.R.A.Z.Y.

Last night was the opening night gala for the Olympia Film Festival and the first film was C.R.A.Z.Y. It’s in French with subtitles but other than that slight downfall, its what I like to refer to as an un-flawed movie. And what I mean be that is that there are no lines or scenes which obviously don’t fit with the rest of the film but were added for one reason or another. So many movies recently have the main roles breaking character for comic relief even when its not a comedic film. Watch Terminator 3 and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

But anyway, I highly recommend this film about a kid growing up in the 70s and 80s and living with a pretty functional family while trying to come to terms with his sexuality. It was artistic but not obnoxiously abstract and had a lot of good music. I give it at least an 8 of 10 but maybe even a 9.
