Do Jump!

As an early Christmas gift, Jennie and Anil took Anna and I to see Do Jump! the other night. My best (and laziest) way of describing the show would be that it is much like Cirque du Soleil but with an understandably lower production budget. Despite any limitations, the show was extremely creative and well conceived. And with only about 10 performers, the audience sees each contributing numerous talents rather than just one specialty.

The group teaches various classes regarding movement and some of the current performers came to the show through these classes. If for any reason my career in software doesn’t work out, Do Jump — or something like it — may be my next pursuit.

A couple of the performers also further inspired me to continue working on hand balancing. I may have to get some of those handstand platforms so I’d be forced to learn a press handstand.
